Day Boat Hire
Two new day boats added to the fleet for 2025!

Enjoy a full day boat trip on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal
A day out with a difference! Enjoy a single day hire on one of our specially built narrow boats. A typical day hire is 9.15am – 4.30pm although you can hire right through till 9pm in peak season.
You can sail in either direction of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal opening swing bridges and sailing through picturesque countryside whilst observing the abundance of wildlife.
You will find plenty of things of interesting places like Farnhill woods which is well known for its bluebells in May or even the Polish war memorial situated right on the canal edge. After sailing for a few hours you are able to stop and sample one of the canal side inns for lunch or simply moor up and enjoy food you have taken on board with you. Before turning round and heading back to Skipton.
All our day boats have a kitchen area equipped with a hob, sink, draining board, kettle, frying pan, soup pan, crockery & cutlery for everyone. On board you also have a toilet compartment with flushing toilet, wash hand basin, and fresh hand towel. All our boats have plenty of inside and outside seating areas.
Our day boats are not licensed or insured for lock usage, however, this is not an issue as you don’t have time to operate the locks anyway! The 17-mile lock free route is more than enough cruising ground for a day hire.
We give full boat handling instruction before you set off so its not a problem if you haven’t done canal boating before. We simply need a minimum of two willing and able-bodied adults in each party to get involved and have a go!
