30 minute boat trips along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal

Here at Pennine Cruisers we run 30 minute boat trips on the Leeds Liverpool canal and part way down the historic Springs Branch, a short arm off the Leeds Liverpool Canal.

Our boat trips run every day from 10.30am, and the cost is only £5.00 per passenger.

Trip boat “LEO” runs every day but trip boat “SAM” only runs when its busy. This means when both boats are running the trips will depart every 20 minutes, but when its quiet and only Leo is running they depart approximately every 40 minutes.

We do not take advance bookings for our 30 minute boat trips, all you need to do is simply queue by the A Frame sign situated in our yard and pay the skipper after you’re seated on board the boat. At only £5.00 per passenger it’s a great addition to any day out in Skipton.

With a fully trained skipper on board with you at all times, you can enjoy the experience and learn the ropes while having the reassurance and security of an experienced professional at the helm.

This was our first time and we were given clear and detailed instructions for more than 20 minutes. The first half an hour was a little difficult and then we got comfortable. We were also given a few set of keys and instructions to open the locks. The boat also has a seating area, a mini kitchen with hob, toilet. Overall a nice experience !

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Last week we had a 4 night hire of Cray. We have used Pennine Cruisers several times over the years, the service always first class. A minor issue with the boat had the engineers out to sort within a short time and all was resolved.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, sadly for the next two years (at least) they will no longer be hiring out holiday boats, instead concentrating on the day boats (due to issues out of their control - see their webpage for details). We hope to return when they do restart holiday boats.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rented a 6 berth barge from Monday till Friday. Amazing experience. The canal along there is so beautiful. The barge has everything you need to cruise and live in for a week.

Special mention to Zoe who was very lovely and helpful in telling us the best direction to head first. Thanks a lot Zoe =) Also Phil was very professional and helpful in getting us accustomed to the boat and its bits and bobs.

Boats were clean and well maintained. We were given tips of where to cruise to, timings, pubs etc. We’ve hired from different places before, but this was the best by far. Highly recommend Pennine Cruisers.
